ANDREW STATLER

Financial Bookkeeper

GET TO KNOW ANDREW

Andrew is the Financial Bookkeeper and responsible for the numbers and "keeping up with the books" at Lift Division. He also reconciles the Lift Division business accounts when the team forgets to turn in their receipts for purchases. Tsk tsk.

What’s your official title and what do people think you do? My official title is financial bookkeeper which generally gives people a pretty good idea about what I do! My main task is to record, categorize, and track all company transactions. I know, it sounds pretty exciting.

What is your favorite thing about working in the digital marketing space? Though I don’t directly work hands-on within the digital marketing space, I do love being a part of a company that does. I will often find myself going through websites that my peers have constructed wondering how on earth they were able to make something so cool!

Is there a web tool you can’t live without? Excel! I know there’s a stereotype about people who work in accounting/finance and their strong relationship with Excel, but I just can’t help it. There is not a tool I use more. It helps keep track of all the company transactions, runs mathematical formulas, pulls financial statements, and houses my work-related checklists. It is my absolute favorite app!

What’s your favorite Lift Division memory? Anytime the whole team is together is a treat. Big events such as the company Christmas party are an obvious choice, but even the times when my co-workers decide to work in the common room together are up there among my favorites. I’m not sure if I could even choose.

What is your essential desktop item or office toy? I have a miniature dumpster on my desk I like to shove all my trash in. It is constantly full from all my old papers, and I don’t know what I’d do without it.

Who’s your most listened-to artist or album for your work day? Usually when I’m on the clock you’ll hear me listening to some Lofi, usually tracks from The Legend of Zelda video game franchise, or just some chill beats. I might also have some history-related youtube video in my ear, or if I wanna jam out I will put on a Billy Joel Essentials album.

If someone made a movie or TV show about Lift Division, who should play you? Ryan Gosling. We’re basically twins already and equally as cool. Seems like the obvious choice to me.

If you were a cartoon character, what would your uniform be? Definitely a buffalo flannel, khakis and tennis shoes. I’m not sure if I wear anything more throughout the year.

What’s your secret talent? I know way too much Lord of the Rings lore…
